The Bad News, we’re closing Ben’s Canteen in Earlsfield. We’ve loved being the Neighbourhood hangout on Garratt Lane but the restaurant game is tough and since Brexit and the nationwide decline of the high street, the numbers have become increasingly tight. So, we’re taking the agonising decision to close the Canteen (note, our Clapham Junction Canteen will remain serving Brunch, Dinner and Drinks every day), our last service will be Brunch on the 28th July.
HOWEVER,
The Good News, we’ll be re-opening on the 18th September as Bloody Bens Distillery with a Gin Bar and Kitchen too.
Bloody Bens is our Drinks business and we’ve decided to give it a proper home, Earlsfield’s first Distillery with a lovely new Copper Still.
To celebrate, we’ll be launching a new Gin to go alongside our Signature Gin, both will be available at our Gin Bar that will boast over 60 Gins for you to discover. Plus, we’ll have amazing Cocktails, served alongside Craft Beer, from Local Brewers, and Wines too.
In the Evenings, we’ll be serving Spanish inspired Tapas and of course, there will be Weekend Brunch with many of your Canteen favourites (we’re also developing a Bloody Coffee, a bespoke blend to perk you up).
From our Distillery, we will be able to offer you bespoke Gins for your celebrations, imagine serving your own Gin at your Wedding for example. We will also run Gin Tastings and other Gin related events. Plus, we will offer more experimental, limited edition Gins for you to discover.

In September, we’ll have live Jazz every Weds evening from 7-9pm and offer 2-4-1 G&Ts all night long.

See you on the 18th September – follow @bloodyben on Instagram for updates.
