After several months of development, including listening to your feedback, we’re thrilled to announce that we are now serving our very own Gin!
We’re making it in Small Batches in our Earlsfield Canteen. It’s a London Dry Gin with Honey & Orange notes to give it a distinctive taste.
It’s available as a G&T right now in both of the Canteens, we’re serving it with Fever Tree Mediterranean and garnishing it with an Orange slice and a sprig of Lavender.
Inspired by London living and Mallorcan dreaming. Ben lived in SW London for years and the Honey is representative of that (we actually use Wandsworth Floral Honey) and the Oranges represent Mallorca where Ben has been holidaying for 20 years and it’s where he dreamt up ideas for the Canteens, whilst sipping on large Gin and Tonics.
We’ve actually installed a small Copper Still into our Earlsfield Canteen, it’s located opposite the Bar, and from this we are creating Earlsfield’s first ever Gin and Distillery.
Why Earlsfield? We wanted to do more in the local community and we also wanted to raise the profile of the local area. Down the road is Tooting which is hot right now but people generally aren’t aware that Earlsfield is an absolute gem and only one stop away from Clapham Junction on the train.
A Gin felt like a great solution and as well as selling it in the Canteens, we hope that other local businesses will stock it and help promote brand Earlsfield. We also hope that the Gin will create more local jobs both directly and indirectly.
